Abstract
Blue Tansy oil, derived from the Tanacetum annuum plant, is known for its soothing and anti-inflammatory properties. When formulated into a microemulsion, it typically means the oil is dispersed in water with the help of surfactants (surface-active agents) to create a stable mixture. This microemulsion form enhances the oil's absorption into the skin, making it easier to apply and potentially increasing its effectiveness. Microemulsions are preferred in skincare for their ability to deliver active ingredients more effectively, penetrate the skin barrier, and provide a more pleasant texture compared to traditional oil-in-water or water-in-oil emulsions.
