Abstract

Medicinal plants are vital resources for primary health care of people around the world. Ethno-medicinal data is mostly passed on from capable peers to the next generation orally. But due to modernization of the ethnic people loss of wisdom integrated with ethnic health care practices is very common in almost all ethnic societies globally. The present study depicts ethno-botanical study of 51 medicinal plants. These 51 plants belong to 35 families of angiosperms (Dicots 82.35% and Monocots 17.65%). Each plant has its own importance and medicinal values. Different plant parts are used to treat various diseases. Conservation of the ethno-medicinal plants and the indigenous knowledge of plants used in traditional health care are very important.
